Our story

Two decades of low-bed expertise.

Montcalm Umano beds are the latest evolution in low hospital bed technology, matching precision engineering with sophisticated, easy-to-use software to deliver beds that ensure maximum safety and wellbeing for both patient and carer.

Improving and maintaining patient mobility is increasingly important in our ageing population. The range we supply is built around that single idea: low-rise profiling beds, falls-prevention configurations and bariatric platforms.

Continuing investment in bed functions and features, including connectivity and service delivery, helps us enhance the productive, working partnerships we have with our customers across the NHS, hospice care and the private sector.

    Founded. We begin promoting low-rise profiling beds across NHS wards.

  2. 2016

    Appointed sole UK distributor for Umano Medical and the Ook Snow platform.

  3. 2019

    The Ook Snow ALL (the Cuddle Bed) arrives in the UK, the only bed certified for two.

We're the UK distributor for Umano Medical, the Quebec-based bed manufacturer behind the Ook Snow platform. 1 chassis, 4 configurations: the standard ward bed, the falls bed, the mental-health bed and the Ook Snow ALL (the Cuddle Bed).

That focus is deliberate. Carrying one well-built platform across the range means staff learn the controls once and every bed in the building behaves the same way.
