What information we collect, use, and why
When you contact us through the enquiry form on this website, or get in touch by phone or email, we collect and use the following information to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to provide our products and services:
- Your name (first and last)
- Your email address and phone number
- Your organisation and job role
- The sector you work in and the products you are interested in
- The content of your message and any further correspondence with us
We use this information to reply to you, to discuss and supply hospital, hospice and care beds and related products, and to keep a record of our dealings with you.
Lawful bases and your data protection rights
Under UK data protection law, we must have a “lawful basis” for collecting and using your personal information. There is a list of possible lawful bases in the UK GDPR, and you can read more about them on the ICO’s website. Our lawful bases are:
- Legitimate interests – when you contact us through the website form or otherwise enquire about our products, we use your information to respond and follow up. Our legitimate interest is responding to, and dealing with, enquiries about our products and services.
- Contract – where we go on to supply goods or services to you or your organisation, we collect and use your information so we can enter into and carry out that contract.
Which lawful basis applies may affect your data protection rights, which are set out briefly below. You can find out more about your rights, and the exemptions that may apply, on the ICO’s website:
- Your right of access – you can ask us for copies of your personal information.
- Your right to rectification – you can ask us to correct or complete information you think is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Your right to erasure – you can ask us to delete your personal information.
- Your right to restriction of processing – you can ask us to limit how we use your personal information.
- Your right to object to processing – you can object to the processing of your personal information.
- Your right to data portability – you can ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you.
- Your right to withdraw consent – where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
If you make a request, we must respond without undue delay and within one month. To make a request, please contact us using the details at the top of this notice.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We use a small number of trusted service providers (“processors”) to run our website and handle enquiries on our behalf:
- Web3Forms (operated by Web3Creative) – processes submissions from our website enquiry form and forwards them to our email inbox. Submissions are handled on servers in the United States.
- Vercel Inc. – hosts our website and provides anonymous, cookieless visitor analytics.
- Our email and IT providers, used to receive and store correspondence.
Transfers outside the UK. Some of these providers process data outside the UK (for example in the United States). Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law to keep your information protected.
Where we get personal information from
We collect most personal information directly from you – through the website enquiry form, or when you contact us by phone or email. In the course of supplying our products we may also receive relevant contact information from the organisation you work for, such as a health or care provider.
How long we keep information
Website enquiries. When you submit the enquiry form, Web3Forms holds your submission for up to 30 days and then automatically deletes it.
Our records. We keep your enquiry email only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry. Once your enquiry has been dealt with, we delete the email within 3 months. If we go on to do business with you, your contact details are kept in our separate customer and order records for as long as we need them to provide our products and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not require a cookie consent banner. We use Vercel’s privacy-friendly analytics, which measures overall website usage without using cookies and without identifying individual visitors.
